Mysterious rapper(s), Captain Murphy dropped the Duality mixtape today, as promised. According to a tweet fired off last month, Duality was produced by a host of well-respected dudes like Flying Lotus, Madlib, Clams Casino, TNGHT (Mudson Mohawk, Lunice), and legitimate hit maker Just Blaze.

The matter of Captain Murphy’s identity is still in question. While we probably won’t know for sure until The Captain wants us to, we’ve heard rumors that he’s Tyler The Creator, Flying Lotus, Left-Brain, or Earl Sweatshirt, or even any mixture of the above (we’re leaning toward the latter, for the record).

No word if Captain Murphy will make Duality a download anytime soon, for now you can listen to the 35 minute mixtape via a deliberately-vintage, slightly-NSFW video.

Reviews

Kelis’ sixth and finest LP is not the gastronomic concept album suggested by its title. Food is instead a feast of sweaty funk grooves and impeccable soul melodies, consistently satisfying and often fabulous.
