Brooklyn’s caught our attention in 2011 with the effortlessly cool, hyper-catchy girl-group sass of “I’m His Girl,” and, in a recent session with BBC’s Radio 1, they proved they’re not a one-trick pony with super-sexy synth-pop jam “A Thing Like This.”

Frontwoman Samantha Urbani shows she’s capable of more than the quasi-rapped schoolyard chant she delivered on “I’m His Girl” with an impressive ‘80s-era MTV diva turn over her band’s gauzy, percolating synth bubbles and throbbing bassline. We bet you can already imagine the bubblegummy pastel video. Check it out.
