The three Los Angeles sisters behind HAIM are having a banner 2012 – wowing audiences at SXSW and CMJ, dropping well-received 7″ singles and EPs – and now they’re gearing up for an as-yet-unannounced record release and what’s sure to be a great 2013. Their latest track, “Send Me Down,” is the b-side on a recent single, and is among the poppiest things we’ve yet heard from the girls – turn it up and sample bubbly, layered, clap-heavy percussion, prominent tuba (!), and the kind of group vocals that perfectly suit a family band (but are still, thankfully, far from corny). It’s their most accessible track yet, and hints at amazing things in their future. Check it out.
