We’re psyched to feature another new track from the Singapore duo Octover – “Hurt” is the next single to drop from their upcoming self-titled debut record, due January 15. If you liked “Satisfy,” or even if this is your introduction to the band, press play and get lost in their glitchy, sexy, dreamy soundscape. Jason Tan’s production is stunning in its unpredictability – he doesn’t choose, like most electronic producers, between heavy industrial clattering and minimalist piano licks; why do that when you can have both? We’re not sure how anyone could come up with a vocal line that follows along with that beat, but Vanessa Fernandez makes it sound easy with seductive diva wails and self-assured lyrics. Check it out.
