The Neighbourhood are a couple of Californians making hip hop-inflected, slow-burning pop set firmly within the smoggy, film-noir Los Angeles of Lana Del Rey’s dark, seedy imagination. “Let It Go” is their newest track up for grabs, the b-side to an as-yet-unreleased single called “Thank You,” and one listen will have it stuck in your head for days – from frontman Jesse James Rutherford’s deft wordplay to that crashing, lighters-up chorus, there’s a lot here to love. Check it out.
