It seems that Mississippi based Dent May has steered clear of the ukelele for now, focusing more recently on bedroom synth pop and electronic persuasion to compliment his music. The latest from the singer/songwriter comes in the form of a new 7” called “Fun,” which will drop on September 13th via his long-time label, the Animal Collective run Paw Tracks.

The appropriately titled song is a laid back summer jam, showcasing May’s venture into unchartered 80s territory, getting more familiar with Darwin Deez-like indie folk, and vintage hip hop beats. No word on whether or not May is officially putting out a full length any time soon, but in the meanwhile, check out “Fun” below:
