Does It Offend You Yeah? first rocked our playlists with their 2008 debut You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into chockablock with sonorous electro bangers like “We Are Rockstars” and “With A Heavy Heart” that made their way through commercials, movie trailers, hip TV shows and parties the world-over. Since then DIOYY fans have enjoyed a steady stream of live shows and festival dates, but only until now have the band offered up any new music. To celebrate the announcement of 2011′s Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You, the band has also unleashed lead single “We Are The Dead”.
The song starts off as unoffensive a Does It Offend You Yeah? track ever has, but eventually gets into the band’s idiosyncratic industrial-electro groove, albeit with a surprising bit of an indie-rock sensibility, that really couldn’t be misused in AMC’s new zombie series.
