Our one complaint about Dave Sitek’s (of TV on the Radio, Maximum Balloon) remix of DOOM’s “Rhymin Slang” – why in heaven’s name is it so short! You can only stream a little over a minute of the track, which’ll appear on Lex Records 10th Anniversary compilation, but based on what we can hear, we’re wondering why Sitek and DOOM haven’t been making music together since the dawn of time.
DOOM’s impressive command of any beat laid in front of him is on display here – Sitek’s clattery, percussive, old-school instrumentals can’t distract from his deft, smart wordplay. We can’t wait to hear the rest.
