London’s Erol Alkan and Germany’s Boys Noize have been melding their respective production and DJ talents together on a collaborative release a year since 2009, and thankfully they’re not taking a break in 2012: say hello to shared single “Roland Rat.” From throbbing bass intro to throbbing bass outro it’s a slice of house music so irresistible and so zeitgeisty we can easily imagine Alkan and Boys Noize piecing it together in a futuristic chromatic laboratory. The end product is the musical equivalent of a strobe light. With the physical release on April 2 comes a b-side, “Brain Storm,” so make sure you wear this one out in the meantime.
