Fort Romeau is La Roux’s keyboardist Mike Norris, who’s been releasing excellent trancey house music on his own for a year or so now, including an overlooked 2012 record called Kingdoms. If you missed the boat on that one, catch it in time for his new single “SW9,” and this excellent b-side, “Love (Dub),” which’ll make an excellent Valentine’s Day mixtape addition if your loved one is into woozy, haunted-sounding deep house music (in which case, you should put a ring on it). That beat is totally irresistible; we’re loving how Norris builds it up in maximalist layers. Check it out – the single’s out March 11.
