Grizzly Bear offer up the second single from their upcoming album, Shields, the eagerly awaited follow-up to one of 2009′s best albums, Veckatimest. We’ve already heard the fantastic Daniel Rossen-fronted lead single “Sleeping Ute,” and the Ed Droste-led “Yet Again” is only upping the ante, and anticipation levels. This time around, it seems Grizzly Bear aren’t leaning on earworm hooky songs like 2009′s “Two Weeks,” instead pushing meandering melodies that take a few listens to really sink in and sprawling compositions that fight tooth and nail for your attention. Shields is out September 17/18.
