Chris Taylor’s solo debut under the moniker CANT is coming out on September 12th via his own Terrible Records in the form of Dreams Come True, his first record apart from the artsy rock collective Grizzly Bear. The singer/songwriter/producer provided us with a feel for the record with first single, the smooth, beat amicable “Answer,” and has now returned with another one word titled track, “Believe.”

Where “Answer” sounds like a hushed version off something from Twin Shadow’s Forget – George Lewis Jr. collaborated with Taylor on the project – “Believe ” is lethargic and synthesizer friendly, relying on layers of dainty textures, dreamy electronic sounds and Taylor’s soulful harmonies. It’s really quite beautiful; Dreams Come True is shaping up to be one heck of a record.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
