Los Angelino noise rockers HEALTH have contributed a hell of a song to Rockstar Games’ newest title Max Payne 3 (which we hear is great). As great as HEALTH albums are, we think they’re even better when they do one-off shots like these (and “USA Boys”, for example). “Tears” screeches and pulses in all the right ways; it pulls inspiration from New York hip hop as much as it does James Cameron’s outer space mine shafts. New HEALTH: “Tears” (from Max Payne 3)
Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
From his still-unannounced new album, featuring Thundercat, Bilal and production from Astronote.
With help from Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij and an amazing piano.
These guys would probably get along if they ever met.
Another track from Future Brown’s upcoming self-titled record.
