Miguel and J. Cole first teamed up back in 2010 for “All I Want Is You,” which would become Miguel’s first hit, and now Miguel is returning the favor. “Power Trip” is either the second or first single (explanation below) off Cole’s forthcoming Born Sinner LP, and aims straight at the charts. With its infectious beat and unsurprisingly solid effort from Miguel on the hook, we wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where it ended up.

People are calling this the first single off J. Cole’s second LP, but, by our count, it’s the second after the socially conscious “Miss America.”  It now seems though that song has been disregarded as the single, along without the record’s original January 28 release date. Regardless, we’re happy for some new music from Cole and Miguel. Check it out below.

Born Sinner should be out sometime in 2013. Yesterday, Cole released a free EP of tracks that aren’t going on official projects, and we believe he’s still supposed to do something with Kendrick Lamar this year well.
