Jessie downplays the song’s ballad-y vibe into a tender, slow-burning soul jam: in her hands, it sounds more seductive, confessional, and personal than the original. If you remember, Zola Jesus took “Diamonds” on recently too – we’re hoping for a cover by Torres next. Cross your fingers while you listen to Jessie’s version.
