Bloc Party frontman Kele has posted two more new songs from his forthcoming solo album, The Boxer. Like “Tenderoni” before them, these XXXChange-produced tunes are electropop of the dirtiest caliber.
“Rise” isn’t an instant dance-floor filler, but it hosts one of the filthiest breakdowns I’ve ever heard pour out of XXXChange’s laptop.
Upon first listen, it’s obvious that “Walk Tall” sounds an awful lot like Peaches. “Fuck The Pain Away” comes to mind on more than one occasion. Sounding like Peaches isn’t a bad thing per se, but in the case of “Walk Tall”? It just comes off as corny.
