Liverpool’s notable electro-poppers, Ladytron, are promoting the arrival of their fifth full length in ten years, Gravity The Seducer, and have just released first proper single “White Elephants” (if you recall, album cut “Ace of Hz” leaked a little while ago).
The song’s dreamy structures and sparkling synthesizers recalls your favorite science fiction series, whether it be Star Wars or Trek, coinciding quite nicely with the album’s cover art (see it here). Vocalists Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo’s marriage of harmonies is reverberated to the max, though never overwhelming alongside the volatile instrumentals. Big Tune.
