Another day, another sample track from ’s debut album, Born To Die. “This Is What Makes Us Girls,” apparently the album’s closing track, was recorded before “Video Games”, and it shows. The now-signature mix maturity and playfulness she effortlessly works over on her slew of formidable singles, is entirely missing here. We wouldn’t be surprised if LDR completely revamps the track for the final album push. For now, though, you can listen to the version that has been floating around, below:

LANA DEL REY – “This is What Makes Us Girls”

Born To Die is out January 31st. To promote the album, Lana will perform on Saturday Night Live on January 14th, making her US debut.
