Lana Del Rey’s one of the artists on the Jay-Z-curated Great Gatsby soundtrack whose inclusion makes the most sense – most of her songs sound like they’re being beamed forward in time from a ’20s speakeasy – so we’ve been especially excited to hear the exclusive song she wrote for the film, unsurprisingly titled “Young and Beautiful.” Lana’s backed up by some of those swelling canned strings she’s so fond of, but we’re especially into that echoey, military percussion that gives the track a little forward momentum and lends Lana a little edge as she demands of a lover, “will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful?” Check it out. You know this already, but the film’s out May 10, and the soundtrack May 7.
