Local Natives showed up at Santa Monica’s KCRW, and, more or less, played their whole new album. It’s a credit to them that it’s actually quite difficult to tell in this steam if its a live version, until the crowd starts clapping and whatnot. There’s some heartwarming, public radio friendly banter between the DJ and the band between the songs, and it’s all well worth checking out if you already know that Hummingbird is coming out January 29 on Frenchkiss.
