Not an hour ago, Miss Arulpragasam tweeted this video for all of her eighty-four thousand followers to watch. As you all should know, M.I.A. is wrapping up the Blaqstarr-produced follow-up to 2007′s incredible Kala. Rumor has it that it will be out this summer, so now is about the time to start spreading viral s**t around, right? Right. Watch the video, captioned only with “THERES SPACE FOR OL DAT I SEE” below:
There’s no information on the track at all. We can’t even be sure it will appear on M.I.A.’s new album, or if it’s new at all. All I know is all I know and I know this is new to me.

yes yes yes!
I’m just as excited as anyone that there’s new M.I.A. material to be heard, but is it just me or is this song… really boring and not as good as anything on her first two albums.
It’s just you!
@drew hella funny!
@ peter its you.
I agree – or at least the audio quality is so bad here it’s hard for me to tell…but does seem repetitive in a not-so-good way
This is obviously just a teaser. The final song will probably be a club banger knowing M.I.A.
it seems pretty obvious this was recorded with a cell phone or digital camera which explains the audio. on a positive note even as a bunch of green dots she is sexy as hell
This is definitely nothing to get excited over. But I’ll hold judgement on LP3 because I have no reason to doubt M.I.A. and an early demo won’t get me started.
I can’t wait for the first single.
The second half of the song is a lot better than the first half. This has some serious potential.
Didn’t Maya say she wanted her next album to be less “silly” and less “hipstery”? This would be less silly and less hipstery, wouldn’t it?
