Who would have ever imagined M.I.A. to rap on the beat from New Kids On The Block’s “You Got It”? You know that one you heard on the radio every single day in 1988? The tune takes the classic pop tune and swarms it with multi-colored synths and electro beats as Maya sings “you zig me and I’ll zag you back.” The track is apparently an outtake from 2003 that the producer recently leaked; according to Pitchfork, M.I.A. claims she doesn’t even own a copy. Listening to it now, there are moments that fit in with her 2005 debut Arular, but as a whole it actually sounds more evocative of MAYA…definitely not VICKI LEEKX. Check it out below.
