We’re premptively awarding 2013’s best album title award to Marnie Stern, who is calling her fourth record The Chronicles of Marnia. You can hear the fantastic first single “Year of the Glad” now – it’s as weirdly catchy as her best work, with layered vocal effects, unreal guitar shredding, and insane drums (here from Oneida’s Kid Millions – Marnie’s old drummer, Zach Hill, now plays in Death Grips) woven together into uneasy but strangely beautiful patterns. Chronicles drops March 19; check this out in the meantime.
