MS MR have a Florence + the Machine-like ability to spin darker emotions into pop songs that can just run. “And my reality / could never live up / could never live up / to my fantasy.” Her voice sounds full and lovely, the piano and hand claps are infectious, and it just has the buoyant feel of a well assembled pop song. “Fantasy” is the first single and title cut from their debut album, which will be out May 14 on Columbia Records.
