Nas’s new record might be called Life is Good, but his new single from it isn’t all that positive – “Accident Murderers” is a four-and-a-half minute burner about the prolificacy of inner-city violence. Nas really delivers (we’re loving that short acapella session), and so does Rick Ross on his guest verse: it’s a hell of a lot better than their last team-up, on last year’s “It’s A Tower Heist.” We’ve long felt that those emotive church organ-rooted beats are kind of overdone, but Nas and Rick totally reclaim it here; it fits perfectly, and it helps that dudes go hard enough they’re always the center of attention. Life is Good is Nas’s 10th studio album; it drops July 17.
