At this rate, Nas will leak all of Life is Good before its July 17 release date, but we don’t care – we’re loving the classic hip hop-inflected tracks he’s been dropping. The latest leak is “Bye Baby,” in which Nas delivers impressive, emotional rhymes about his difficult decision to leave a woman he loved over a sultry, slow-burning beat from frequent partner Salaam Remi and Drake’s number oe guy, 40. Usually tracks obviously directed at a rapper’s ex (this one’s likely about Nas’s ex-wife Kelis) turn us off, but “Bye Baby” is great – Nas doesn’t take cheap shots, he just goes for the gold. Check it out.
