Pat Grossi’s Active Child project has become one of our favorite new outfits of 2011. The singer/songwriter has certainly captivated us with his haunting, familiar landscapes and fondness for textures, showcased on “Hanging Out”, with How To Dress Well, or the title track from his forthcoming You Are All I See.
With only twelve days left until the record drops via Vagrant, a new tune has just surfaced, the aptly titled “Way Too Fast,” which is ironically as slow building and lethargic as the rest of his music. “Way Too Fast” contains layers upon layers of dark, brooding synths and slight hints of bass, accompanying Grossi’s distinct falsetto. Hear it below; You Are All I See is out August 23rd.
