Andrew Bird’s dropping his next record Break It Yourself soon, and we’ve already sampled the title track, which is now available on 7” vinyl alongside two more brand new Bird tracks – one a cover of the Handsome Family’s “So Much Wine,” the other an original, “The Crown Salesman,” which you can check out now. As much as we love Bird’s whistling and violin wailing, we also love when he cranks up his guitar distortion, and that’s just what he’s done here, rooting a hypnotic, slow-burning ballad over plenty of reverby fuzz. And that voice! We just got ten times more excited for Break It Yourself, which’ll arrive March 6.
