Universal’s latest signee debuts a new track in a strange place, even for her: the runway at Mugler’s show at Paris Fashion Week (remember her standout “212″ lyric, “kick it with your bitch who come from Parisian, she know where I get mine from and the season…”). Mugler’s creative director Nicola Formichetti will reportedly direct the upcoming video for Banks’ track “Liquorice,” so in return she gave him “Bambi,” probably her rave-iest track yet, all pounding, hypnotic club backbeat.

First Banks flirts, then she goes in for the kill with a typically brutal verse. The official studio recording of “Bambi” has been made available through Mugler’s Soundcloud page.

Porcelain Raft’s jockeying between maximalist, synthesized chamber indie, hazy dance music, borderline art-dubstep chopped-and-screwed beats and drones, and mixtape-closing reverby guitar pop make Strange Weekend endlessly compelling, fascinatingly layered, and never predictable.
