When we’ve heard about Beach Fossils in the last year or so, it’s usually been about the side projects, DIIV and Heavenly Beat, the band’s members have taken to working on in their day job’s downtime. But frontman Dustin Payseur’s been as busy as his bandmates over his long sabbatical – Beach Fossils’ new record Clash the Truth is fourteen songs, one of which features Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino. You can check out “Careless,” the record’s first single, now. It’s the same breed of effortless, jangly guitar pop you’ve come to expect from the band, but we’re loving how Payseur’s vocals are more up-front. Check it out.
