English folk quintet Fanfarlo will drop their as-yet-untitled second record soon, and judging by early hints, the band have adopted a compelling new direction in the two years since we’ve heard from them.
“Deconstruction” is our second listen to new material – it’s a little more electro-influenced than we’re used to, built on wavering synth loops and arpeggios and toe-tapping drum machine that build up into a bass-driven, dancy little number. It’s new, sure, but it’s no less fun – the band’s boy-girl group vocals are irresistible, and that that synth riff is super-catchy. Take a listen and enjoy.
