Even post-LCD Soundsystem, New York’s DFA Records is still dropping amazing disco-influenced cerebral electro. Their latest release is this single from Holy Ghost!, “It Gets Dark,” which is probably your gloom anthem of the fall. Crank this one up at a really weird party or crank it up in headphones next time you’re walking in the rain: that driving, tech-y bass pulse is basically irresistible, and those Halloween-y sweeping drones are too legitimately menacing to sound at all corny.
