If Daytona Beach’s best ex-Claire’s clerk rapper Kitty Pryde is one thing, it’s polarizing – if you’re not praising her weirdly charming poetic flow, verbose pop-culture mastery, and self-aware, self-depreciating lyrics, you’re probably spewing vitriol. We for one are Kitty fans, and we’re really into “Ay Shawty,” her latest single from her upcoming EP D.A.I.S.Y. Rage (out January 31) which features Greedhead rapper Lakutis. She reigns supreme over a dreamy beat, wondering how she could get a boy to let her holler at him – we’re feeling that lighters-up chorus and Lakutis’s killer verse too. Check it out.
