Diplo and Switch’s collaborative project Major Lazer just dropped the final cut of their latest single “Original Don,” just in time for the weekend! Thank goodness – you’ll want to put this on your party playlist ASAP. All those dancehall-inspired pitch-shifted horns, heavily processed vocals, and trippy electro-house beats are pretty much tailor-made to dance to.
This isn’t your usual party music though; like most of Major Lazer’s best material, “Original Don” is incredibly complex – it sounds at times like Diplo and Switch challenged themselves to fit every beat they possibly could into one song. Give it a listen.
