Santigold is ending 2012/starting 2013 with a new track written and recorded for HBO’s excellent/horrible TV program Girls. The song, also called “Girls” and not unlike Beyonce’s “Girls” in tone, is set to appear on the TV show’s first soundtrack, Girls – Volume 1: Music from the HBO Original Series, on January 8th. The set will also feature music by Robyn, Grouplove, Icona Pop, Belle & Sebastian, Fleet Foxes, Oh Land, and The Vaccines. Girls, the TV show, will return on January 13th. Yay/boo!
