On November 26, Star Slinger will release a new EP called Ladies In The Back on his own JET JAM imprint. The EP is supposed to preface his long awaited full length debut, supposedly due out sometime in 2013, and the EP’s title cut, “Ladies In The Back,” is as coherent and, we daresay, top 40 as Star Slinger’s ever been. It’s an interesting change of pace for a producer who rose to prominence for his hazy, almost schizophrenic reworks of weird songs from weird bands like Deerhunter and Broken Social Scene. But as far as pop songs go, “Ladies In The Back” has charisma is spades. Check it out below:
