I always notice that my guard goes up a little bit when a giant company like Mountain Dew, Converse or now Phillips hops into the indie music world to sponsor music, but oftentimes we get some pretty good songs out of the deal. Such is the case with Washed Out’s participation in Philips’s “Sound of Creation” advertising campaign, which has yielded this gorgeous three minute instrumental track of the same name as the campaign. Check it out below.
New: Washed Out – “Sound of Creation”
Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
From his still-unannounced new album, featuring Thundercat, Bilal and production from Astronote.
With help from Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij and an amazing piano.
These guys would probably get along if they ever met.
Another track from Future Brown’s upcoming self-titled record.
