“I got a feotus on a leash / I am alone now. I am beyond recriminations. / Curtains are shut. Furniture has gone. I am transforming. I am vibrating.” Nick Cave delivers these lyrics with the sort of terminal, prophetic authority possessed by Johnny Cash on songs like “The Man Comes Around,” from the later American recordings. This song is from his forthcoming album, Push The Sky Away, which is out February 19 on 100 Beats. Also check out the album’s first single, “We No Who U R.”

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
