Fearless glam-orchestra integrator Patrick Wolf is gearing up for a busy 2011 – in December we got a taste of awesome teaser single “Time of My Life” to tide us over until the release of an official single, “The City” – a March release was intended for this one, but it’s so good that we’re capitalizing on its early leak.

It’s got a driving head-nodder of a beat, horns and piano, pitchshifted sampling. As is typical for Wolf’s music, everything is effortlessly, irresistibly dramatic. Definitely a must-listen for fans of the Londoner’s well-arranged pop rock, and it might win more than a few skeptics over too.

Wolf has also confirmed the title of his fifth record, Lupercalia, to be released in May. Stay tuned!

Loving ‘The City’, it’s wonderful how fresh he sounds even on his fifth album.
