Peter Bjorn and John are back making infectiously catchy tunes that have more in common with 2006′s fan favorite Writer’s Block than 2009′s more experimental Living Thing. After releasing short rock n roll ditty “Breaker Breaker” and the doo-wop surf anthem “Dig A Little Deeper,” the trio have released another pop gem with “Second Chance,” whose amiable chorus and “ooooooohs” will have you singing along like when you were whistling to “Young Folks.”
The slight distortion on Peter Moren’s voice is a fun change of pace mixed with the cowbells and short guitar riffs, assuredly a radio friendly cut that will bring this band back to the limelight. Gimme Some, their 6th proper LP, comes out March 29th.

It’s good to hear PB&J getting back to what they do best; pop tunes with an indie edge. There is something to be appreciated about “an experiment” that doesn’t turn you permanently into experimental. This is not to in any way speak ill of experimental music, but as I said, they do pop best.
Gimme Some in not-so-subtle connection with Lykke Li’s single?
Loving all of this.
like like like, can’t wait for this album to come out! “breaker breaker” is my jam
