Radiohead co-pilot Johnny Greenwood is making quite the name for himself as a fledging film composer, famously working on Paul Thomas Anderson’s deranged masterpiece There Will Be Blood (we still can’t believe the Academy snubbed Greenwood’s tense and nervous score). Anderson called upon Greenwood’s talents again for his controversial new film, The Master.
Listen to this terrific excerpt from the score, “Application 45 Version 1.” Try not to lose yourself in a cloud of paranoia and doubt once those dissonant strings kick in.
