Chris Taylor has been keeping busy since he and the lads in Grizzly Bear released the widely adored, brilliant full length Veckatimest, producing the debut full lengths of Twin Shadow and the morning benders, working with Solange Knowles, and setting up his own Terrible Records label. If you recall, the artist has also released solo material under the moniker CANT, and is now prepping to release the project’s first proper full length.
Taylor has now dropped the first tidbit from the forthcoming Dreams Come True, a synthesized and electrifying experience called “Answer,” which is as far away from the ethereal/folky Grizzly Bear sound as can possibly be. Backed with faint hints of disco, and a quiet yet prominent beat in the foreground, Taylor’s vocals absolutely soaked in reverb, it actually shares more in common with Twin Shadow, which is almost to be expected.
