REC’D: Smith Westerns – “All Die Young”

Chicago indie rockers Smith Westerns took a breathtaking dream-pop eighties-prom turn on their upcoming record Dye It Blonde, heading for a release January 18. To tide you over until that day, give a listen (or seven million) to “All Die Young,” the second song to drop after irresistible first single “Weekend.” As we hoped and prayed upon hearing that awesome first cut, the band stuck with that sunshiney hi-fi sound that got bands like the Morning Benders noticed in 2010 – “All Die Young” is a perfect example of this newfound pop sensibility. We love this record. Check out this song and you’ll be waiting with bated breath for the rest.
