“No Hassle” is the first piece proper new music from Robyn in years. It is slated to appear on Robyn’s long awaited, Diplo-produced album, though it’s also likely that this is a demo and not an actual finished product. This possibility would actually sit better with me, because while I am excited to listen to new material from my favorite Swedish songstress, “No Hassle” is hardly up to par with what we heard on her eponymous album, and falls far below classics like “Be Mine” and “With Every Heartbeat”. Nonetheless, it is refreshing to hear Robyn over a retro, almost reggae beat. Maybe a little more M.I.A. will do “No Hassle” wonders.
