We know it’s a little early – pre-Halloween – for holiday music, but we figured you’d want to hear about news this big: two of our favorite voices, Rufus Wainwright and Sharon Van Etten, have teamed up to cover one of the creepiest Christmas classics out there, “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Obviously, it’s excellent – the duo’s voices work together beautifully over a tender piano line, especially towards the song’s latter half, when all bets are off. Their duet comes from the hilariously-named but totally stacked compilation Holidays Rule, which will also feature everyone from The Shins to Paul McCartney, and is out October 30.
