In other news, San Francisco’s Silver Swans have brought their masterful cover treatment (they’ve also recorded their own takes on tracks by the National and Fleet Foxes) to her breakout hit “Video Games.”

Ann Yu’s vocals are as pretty and ethereal as Lana’s, but a little more methodical than sensual, and the cold, vibrating electronic backdrop the band conjures up, all synth bass and chiming bells, backs her up perfectly. Silver Swans’ next record, Forever, is out February 7.

If you’re interested, Titus Andronicus’ Patrick Sickles has also covered “Video Games”.
