As you may or may not have known, Disney is finally releasing a sequel to 1982′s seminal film Tron (watch trailer below). One of my favorite things about the original Tron, was it’s estimable score, composed by avant-garde electronic musician Wendy Carlos, who also scored films like The Clockwork Orange and The Shining. It’s really fitting then, to have a duo as prolific and influential as to score Tron: Legacy.

There is no set release date for the new Tron soundtrack, but I’m guessing it’ll be out a week or two before the film hits theaters According to reader, Matthew Principe, The Tron: Legacy soundtrack is due out November 27th. Six songs from Daft Punk’s score have been floating around the internet all weekend. You can check them out in a single SoundCloud player below:

Intense stuff.

The Tron light cycle seemed really cool, the working one. It sold for less than I thought, $22,000. http://www.imax.com has great info about it.

This is not the score, this is the BSO, more commercial, more their style.
Enjoy it!
