Last time we checked in on Tennis, the lovable duo was covering the Zombies classic “Tell Her No” and spreading the news that they’d be releasing a new single called “Origins” soon.
A few weeks later we find ourselves with Tennis’ new fuzzed-out, three-minute jam on repeat. The single, which is backed by a track called “Deep In The Woods” – previews the group’s forthcoming sophomore effort, Young and Old, which was produced by The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney. Listen to “Origins” below:
Tennis – “Origins”
According to Forest Family records, “Tennis’ Origins / Deep In The Woods 7″ is out next month on blue vinyl and is available for pre-order now from all of the usual suspects (Insound in the States, Rough Trade in the UK). Limited to 1000 copies, so get on it early.”
Young and Old is out Valentines Day, February 14, 2012 on Fat Possum.
