For a new record called Russian Roulette, beatmaker the Alchemist made basically an epic instrumental track of thirty separate pieces that connect to one another, and invited a bunch of his buzzy rapper friends into the studio to drop verses over their favorite sections. The first snippet we can sample is “Flight Confirmation,” which features Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q. It gives you a chance to check out the project’s ambitiousness (toward the end, one beat seamlessly becomes another) as well as the dexterity of these two rappers. The record drops July 17.
