The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – “The One”

New York dream-poppers The Pains of Being Pure at Heart will not stop putting out great singles. Just-dropped “The One” is the b-side of PMA favorite “Heart in Your Heartbreak;” the tunes appear back-to-back on a 7” next week and possibly on the band’s upcoming sophomore record “Belong.” It basically sums up how you probably felt about your high school sweetheart: Kip Berman’s angelic falsetto floats over good old-fashioned guitar riffs and driving drums, “You’re the one!” Try putting this on a mixtape for someone you really like.
